Commemorating U.A.E National Day!

U.A.E – A little country on the edge of the Arabian gulf is now standing parallel with the world giants. As kids we never knew about U.A.E, it was always known as Dubai or the gulf.

We moved to Dubai before I turned 8. My memories of the place was of a vast desert with 1 to 2 storey houses seen as small clusters all over. There were just 2 malls- Burjuman and Al Gurair and the famed Karama to our spend our weekends . The roads used to be empty with radars being non existent. We used to brisk between Ajman and Dubai to buy the smallest of household. A place with no traffic, a handful of schools, small buildings and a lot of quite in the neighborhood. The trade center boasted of being the tallest building on the well acclaimed Sheikh Zayed road.

After spending a fine 4 years we moved to India to pursue our education. We returned after 2 years to spend a months holiday at my grandmother’s place in Ajman. And as we were driving home from the airport I marveled at the new flyovers and buildings on our way. In 2 yrs a lot had changed and we could sense the place was on the verge of growing big. After a spending a few years in India, we moved back to Dubai. And when we came in, it was like we had kept foot into a whole new world. There were malls and parks and landscapes everywhere. His Highness Sheikh Zayed had given so much love to this country that i feel it enlarged with all his love and nurturing..

I have been here ever since and i have seen a continuous transformation every year. From the reigns of His Highness Sheikh Zayed to His Highness Sheikh Khalifa and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed, the country has witnessed a smooth transition in global and economic growth. A place where all nationalities and cultures are welcomed with open arms, nurtured with love and care, allowed to live in respect and peace, U.A.E holds a remarkable place in the heart of almost all its citizens.

Every year, as the country grows, reaching different milestones, citizens of different nationalities await the national day celebrations with the same zeal and enthusiasm as they would in celebrating the festivities of their home countries. From the iconic Burj Khalifa to the serene Green Mubazzarah of Al Ain to the vibrant Global Village, the country is a tourist’s dream destination.  Uniting nationalities from all over the world , giving a platform for a variety of talents and aspiring entrepreneurs ,U.A.E is considered  the perfect place to live in.

Long live U.A.E, its rulers and the prominent values it upholds!!
